brooklin's preschool class took a field trip to the haggen grocery store in Ferndale. they toured the store and had employees share what goes on in their particular departments.
the bakery:
oh man did it smell divine! they showed the kids one of the big mixers, which they were using to make bread. it was pretty cool.
the produce department:
the kids got little sample of fruit to try. brooklin found a new favorite, starfruit.
the meat department:
mmm... bacon!
they also got to go into some of the big freezers in the back and talk to the people at the pharmacy. it was pretty cool to be able to go back into some of the areas that you normally aren't allowed to and kinda see what goes on. the kids all had a really good time.
