rock a by baby...

the above picture is of my older sister on christmas day in 1979. the reason i'm posting this, other than to show you what a cute baby she was, is because brooklin recently inherited this same doll cradle a few months ago. i have been working on refinishing it and finally finished it a few days ago.








not bad for a 30 year old cradle that is now on it's fourth user.

homemade pizza

a few weeks ago i decided i really wanted to try to make homemade pizza. i finally got around to it yesterday. i was really nervous going into it, because i don't think i've ever made anything that used yeast before. well, it turned out really good, if i do say so myself. i even made the pizza sauce. and scott said it was the best homemade pizza he's ever had. i think he was worried too when i told him what i was doing. :) it obviously takes more time than pizzaria pizza, but i think it would be a fun thing to do every once in a while. plus, it's way less greasy. doesn't it look delish?!
