northwest washington fair

as per tradition, we went to the fair in lynden last monday. of course, monday, for the demolition derby! scott and i have gone to the demo derby together for at least the past 4 years. i can't remember if we went when we were engaged or not. anyway, before the derby we walked around the fair and looked at all the animals. brooklin loved all of them, but would have loved it even more if she could have gave them all great big hugs. she has no fear when it comes to animals. i took brooklin on the carousel, since we already found out she loves it. she had a total blast, and probably would've spent all night on the ride if we had let her. we of course ate way overpriced greasy fair food and i had to have my ice cream cone from the whatcom dairy women. yummy! the demolition derby seemed to be a lot more exciting this year than years past. all the drivers seemed to be more into it this year. there were a lot more cars and trucks flipped over and it was a lot of fun to watch. i'm kinda sad i didn't take any pictures of the derby at all. i can't wait 'til next year!
